Carol Shannon Miedona, 77, of Coloma, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
A Funeral Service Mass for Carol will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2024, at St. Basil Catholic Church. There will be an hour of Lying in Repose from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Immediately following the Funeral Mass, family and friends will process to Chambers Cemetery.
Carol was born on December 7, 1946 in Sault St. Marie, Michigan. Her parents are the late Clifford and Winifred (McCulligh) Soulliere. On May 1, 1965, in South Haven, she married John Miedona. He survives along with their children, Shelly Miedona, Kimberly (Peter) Caligiuri and Scott (Sherry) Miedona, and 8 grandchildren. Also, surviving is her sister, Marlene Plaia.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and supportive grandmother. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and playing Rummy. She had a talent for sewing and found great joy in spending time with her family. Carol always knew the best blueberries to pick, the smartest card to play, and the right thing to say. There is no doubt that she is watching over all of us.
