Jennifer's Obituary

Jennifer L. Kettlehut,”Jen” 50, of Benton Harbor, passed into the loving arms of her Lord
and Savior on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 8, 2023 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Tom Bird officiating. Friends may visit with the family beginning 1:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. In Jen’s honor, you are encouraged to wear your favorite college sports garb, preferably University of Michigan. Memorial donations in Jen’s name may be made to The Renucci Hospitality House at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital. Jen was born January 12, 1973 in St. Joseph to Robert W. & Beverly (Lugers) Kettlehut. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1991, and attended Lake Michigan College. Jen spent her working career in customer service at several different area retail stores. She was an avid University of Michigan Football fan and cherished the time with her brother & sister attending the games at The Big House or watching with family at home. Jen also enjoyed going out to eat and visiting the local casinos. She cherished the time spent with her family, especially her nieces & nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jen is survived by her mother Beverly Costigan of Benton Harbor; her siblings-Robert A.
(Heidi Helling) Kettlehut of Stevensville, Dawn (Mark) Breinling of Wyoming, MI; step brother Joseph Costigan, step sisters-Donna (Doug) Harrell & Sue Harknett; nieces & nephews-Ben Ganzon, Mitchel (Tara) Starback, Mallorie (Matt) McComb, Kayla (Max Whitehead) Kettlehut, Patrice (Josh) Zerafa; and four great nieces & nephews. Jen was preceded in death by her father Robert, her step-father James Costigan, and two sisters-Pamela & Vicki Kettlehut.
