Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwest Michigan, 5400 S. Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Those wishing to leave an online condolence or memory of Pam may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.

Pam was born on November 12, 1956, to Harold & Marion (Demler) Ladendorf in St. Joseph. Pam attended St Joseph Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1974. Pam was known for her beautiful red hair, her infectious laugh, and the twinkle in her blue eyes that usually led her and her friends into some sort of mischievous fun!

Following graduation from Western Michigan University, Pam set off for the West. She lived in Denver, Colorado, and traveled the Rocky Mountain states as a Sales Representative for a title insurance company. She also worked selling digital photography for the real estate market. These positions reinforced her interest in real estate, and she gained her license and held several positions in real estate sales offices. While raising her young children, she and Steve had their own business selling high-end appliances in the thriving Denver homebuilder market. Her final position before retirement was in the Douglas County Assessor’s Office. Her knowledge of real estate and love for people allowed her to be helpful when people may have expected a stressful encounter. Pam loved people and she always was at her best when she could solve problems for people.

Pam married Steven Drews on November 27, 1985, in Denver, CO. They raised two wonderful children, Matthew and Krista. Her children and grandchildren were the passion and love of her life. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years and loved her time caring for and playing with her children. Later, her children didn’t live close by, but they always kept in touch with texts, photos, phone calls, and as many visits as possible.

Pam spent the last several years back in Southwest Michigan, which she always considered “home”. She loved watching sunsets, going to fruit stands, and attending concerts in many different venues in Southwest Michigan. She and Greg entertained regularly and enjoyed a close group of friends.

Pam is survived by her significant other Gregory Kent; ex-husband Steven Drews; children, Matthew (Gil Bar-Sela) Drews of Seattle, WA, and Krista (James Michael) Morris of Parker, CO; father Harold Ladendorf; grandchildren, Neve & Wren Morris; sister Sandy (Kenneth) Mattner of Arlington, TX; niece Megan Solis; and nephew Kenny Mattner.

Pam was preceded in death by her mother Marion Ladendorf. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 269-556-9450.
