Birdie's Obituary
“Birdie” Roberta J. Duncan, 74 of Covert peacefully departed on May 13, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 13, 1949 in Binghamton, New York to Robert and Jean Crocker. United in marriage on March 3, 1972 to William Duncan.
Survived by husband, William of 52 years, children, Carolyn Reagan, Dana Schultz, Scott (Sharon) Schultz, Dawnne Duncan, Erika (Justin) Schultz. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Birdie is preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Biggers, brothers; Art Crocker and Robert “Bob” Crocker.
Birdie worked at Fisher’s Big Wheel from the day it opened until the day it closed the doors. She started as a cashier and worked her way into the position of Human Resource Manager and Union Steward.
Birdie was a social butterfly, an avid reader, who loved her family, friends, pets, flowers and houseplants. She was a caregiver to her mother and siblings until their passing. She had an infectious sense of humor, and was always happy. Anybody that knew her loved her. Birdie could brighten up a room with her smile and her giggle. She was loved by so many and she gave that love right back.
A Celebration of Life for Birdie will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Moore Event Center Chapel, 19624 CR 687, South Haven, Michigan, 49090. Pastor Duane Jones will Officiate.
