Olga's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Olga here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Olga and her husband was a dear friend to my parents, Toni and Edmund Weiss, from St. Matthews Lutheran Church as German immigrant members also since 1952. Upon my parents' deaths, Olga was so supportive with kind words and gestures to me and my brother, Wilfried, when I lost my dear Mama and Papa. She was a very kind strong woman of Christian faith and family values and will be missed by many who knew her. May God hold you steadfast in his love and give you and your family strength during these difficult times. Sending prayers and sincere condolences to you and your family. (Mrs. Edeltraut Weiss-Campbell) Fort Wayne, Indiana.

I was sad to get the news of Tante Olga's passing. What a full life she lived. She was a quiet, gentle woman with a kind heart. I remember staying at her place on of my trips to Michigan to see the relatives. Karl, Harry, Doris, and I were all born in 1954, and we were related to the Sauders through marriage, as Tante Olga's sister, Tante Wanda was married to one of my opa's brothers. Through the years, my family would drive to Michigan for baptisms, confirmations, weddings, graduations, etc. Tante Olga was such a good cook. There was always plenty of food at get togethers. I recall attending the German church services at St. Matthew's as a child. Even though I wasn't fluent in German, I loved celebrating my deutsch heritage! Tante Olga was a wonderful homemaker and gracious hostess. She had a lot of wisdom. What a welcome party awaited her in heaven. Jesus welcomed her with open arms, and I can't begin to imagine the joy when she saw beloved family members that had gone before her. My deepest condolences to all the family. Due to covid, I regret that I won't be flying up to Michigan for the funeral. My thoughts and prayers will be with y'all on Friday especially. I'll say the Lord's Prayer in German! Deer Herr sei mit Dir. Ich liebe Dich Tante Olga.
