We are so lucky to have had such a wonderful Uncle for so many years. He was so knowledgeable about so many subjects and so easy to talk with. He was best man for my parents Donald & Helen Doak outdoor wedding that took place on the IN & MI State line. We are going to miss him terribly! RIP Uncle. Love you Sally (Doak) & Dick Cox

My Dad was a friend at the Berrien County Sportsman Club. Dad, first name Frank shot 1000's of birds with Marshall at skeet. Marshall was an expert skeet shooter. I started shooting in the mid 60's and also shot a lot of rounds with Marshall. He always tried to help me get better at it and it worked. He was a good man. Marshall saw a lot come and go at age 99. I surely hope that the family does well.

Marshall blessed each of us at Crown Pointe far more then we blessed him. Thank you for sharing him with us.

To Bill, Steve, Tom and Families
I was so sorry to hear that your father had passed. As a small child, I most remember his beautiful smile and his gorgeous dimples, and thought he was so handsome. Uncle Marsh was an amazing man who was versatile on a wide range of topics. He and I talked about x-ray machines when I went into radiography. He was probably the only person in the family who understood the field, and the jargon, and I enjoyed our conversations very much. It's sad to see that the last of the 5 Doak siblings has passed, but they live on through us.
Love to you all,
Cousin Martha (Keller) Eagleson

My name is George Miller. I met Marshall at an event honoring Theodore "Dutch" Van Kirk the navigator of the Enola Gay that dropped the A bomb on Hiroshima. It was held at the Buchanan American Legion hall. Marshall changed my life and i learned more about our nations history from Marshall than from anyone else. I will miss our phone calls and our visits before Notre Dame home football games. Marshall, rest well my friend and remember how much i loved you! I was born on Veterans day 1952, and by losing you on Veterans Day, it will hold even more meaning for me going forward. This isn't good bye, merely until we meet again!
