I met Fred as the sales guy from Ace Plumbing. The team at Ace was instrumental in helping me add a bathroom that supported my growing family. I appreciated the kindness, fairness and confidence in his approach as I took on this new project full of unknowns. I was very sad to hear of his passing. Sympathy, thoughts and prayers to Fred's family. Kenneth Whise

Fred will be missed greatly. He was a loyal and faithful nephew and cousin to our entire family. He seemed more like a big brother who always watched out for us and helped us in every way possible. He had a joyful and positive attitude and was always encouraging to us all, and we loved him for it.
Gisela remembers how Fred taught her how to drive her first new car after college, a VW Bug with manual stick shift. He took her to a church parking lot and practiced there. Also Pat and Fred frequently visited Gisela and Bob in Florida which they greatly enjoyed spending times together. We could always count on Fred and he was always ready to help us all on a moment's notice.
Susanne remembers how Fred always reached out to be part of our family get togethers with lots laughing, talking, and even singing. He helped her with many life situations such as replacing a roof, outside drain suggestions, solving a basement flood, and helping her select a new car. Also most importantly he would counsel her with spiritual guidance as how to handle certain situations in life in reference to God's Word.
We especially remember how Fred and Pat ministered to our Mom and Dad, Ursula and Ewert, over the years. They would visit Mom on a regular basis by giving her flowers, words of encouragement, and singing German songs with her and she would sing along.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the family in this time of loss and in the coming days.

"Mr. Breitkreuz" was always kind and welcoming when I grew up with his daughter Rebecca. Now that I'm an adult, he was the same guy he was back then -- he will be greatly missed. My sympathy goes out to Becky and Steve and all the grandkids--he was not just a grandfather to them, but a friend and father-figure. Rest well and in God's loving arms.

My dear friend is now in the place he longed for, singing hymns of praise in his native German and smiling down upon us all, patiently waiting for when we will join him again. You will be dearly missed, my friend, but we will meet again.

Fred was more than just a friend to me. Anytime our paths crossed, I would greet him with “Brother” If I I would mistakenly refer to him as “Friend” he would correct me and point out that we were “Special Friends”. What a blessing he was to everyone he met. Fred, my “Special Friend” I will miss you.

Pat, I am so sorry for your loss. Tom and I always loved visiting with you and Fred at the marina. Losing your spouse is very difficult, but he will always be with you in your heart and no one can take away your memories. Fred was a wonderful man who was very welcoming to all that new him.
