Dear Sue and family,
We were truly saddened to read of Curt's death. He was, indeed, a kind, gentle and humble person. But he could certainly be 'convincing' in his own way. When we first joined FCC I called Curt to ask about programs offered to younger children,,,by the time he conversation ended I found myself on the Board of Christian Education.
Curt was, in addition to all the other positive descriptions, just a plain ol' good guy.

Curt was a co-worker with me at SJHS and also a fellow member of First Congragational Church, SJ. He was always friendly and helpful and instrumental in putting together a memorial for our son who died in 1987. He truly chose a profession that matched his personality. pastor and counselor.

Mr. Plummer was my first wrestling coach at Upton Junior High in 1980-81 and I have never forgotten his influence on my eventual career in the sport and -- more importantly -- on my life. I remember him as a gentle, yet intense adult who saw the best in every one in which he came into contact. One day, he once proudly and unabashedly proclaimed to one of my fellow Upton students -- who was standing next to me -- that "Andy is going to be a state champion in high school." His comment totally caught me off-guard because Coach Plummer was usually quite reserved and modest about things. But, it was the first time that anyone had ever believed in me so earnestly in that context and it changed me forevermore. I thought, 'if Coach Plummer is willing to make that claim, he must know something!' I have a strong feeling that Curt Plummer likely empowered a lot of people during his life journey and I am grateful and honored to have known him.

Dear Sue, Amy, Sarah and family,
Like so many, I am both saddened and relieved to hear of Curt's passing: sad that such a bright light in this world has been extinguished; relieved that the painful last chapter of your life with him has ended. I will always value the wisdom and support he gave me as a Samaritan Center Board member, but value even more the friendship that evolved from that. I will always cherish my memories of this wise and gentle soul.
With love and fond memories,
Glenn Chapman

Dear Sue, Amy, Sarah and family,
I’m so very sorry for the hole in your hearts because of Curt’s passing. Yet I’m happy and relieved for him as his soul finally flies free. His kindness and gentleness will always remain in the hearts of those he encountered on his path, including mine.
Sing with the angels, Curt!
