Daryl's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Daryl here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
Dear Lynn and family,
Darryl and I each grew up on a corner of Pixley Avenue. We spent 12 years together attending Trinity and Saint Joe Hi. It was a fun time in our lives; sharing family experiences and all the things young boys do. He was a good businessman who cared about his community and his family. He was a great friend. I enjoy the memories I shared with him. I trust your entire family will find peace in your memories as well. Please accept my deepest condolences.

Lynn and Family, I was very sad to hear about Daryl's passing. He was a remarkable man and will be lovingly remembered. His last years were difficult for him and for all of you. To witness a loved one's decline is heartbreaking. Our family experienced this with our father. We lost the man we knew and loved ten years before his actual death. The entire family moved heaven and earth to help him and Mom during those long, painful years. Grief can be very complicated in these circumstances. It's made even more challenging when the family has other losses during a protracted decline of a loved one. My family faced this, and your family has, as well. You are a loving, close-knit family. I pray that you will find comfort at this difficult time, and that your best memories of Daryl will bring you peace and smiles on the darkest days. The Pelkey-Schlender Family makes this world a better place. I send you my love.

Dear Lynn and family,
So very sorry to hear of Daryl's passing. He was a dear friend early in my marriage to Jim and we enjoyed wonderful times together throughout the years. Since both Jeff and Gregg were 4th graders of mine, Daryl was one of my favorite dads! I also remember him being on the Bd of Ed when I was originally hired as a teacher at Trinity. There are so many memories that are special. May God grant you all peace and strength at this difficult time.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Lynn and family, I am sorry for your loss. I worked with Daryl at both the AAA General Agency (Benton Harbor) and the AAA Insurance Sales Office (St. Joseph). I so greatly enjoyed working with Daryl. Daryl definitely was a charismatic and dedicated insurance agent. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Daryl was a wonderful friend and brother-in-law. We always felt welcome in his and Lynn’s home. We cherish the many fun afternoons by their pool which many times ended up lasting into the night. It seemed that all our family holidays and gatherings were at their beautiful home. Daryl also always made our daughters feel special.. We all loved Daryl will miss him terribly. Dave and Kim Fritz
