MaryAnn,
So sorry to hear of Gene's passing. You were both so kind to me and my children. Thinking of you and your children at this difficult time. And, I'm fondly remembering our times at the Mendel Center with you working for MSU and me working for WMU. Take care.

Mary Ann and Gene were best friends of my sister, Carol Musser Kuschel, and her husband, Tom Kuschel, for many years when they lived nearby in St. Joe. Carol and Tom and their four boys moved to southern FL many years ago, but they kept in close contact with Mary Ann and Gene. When the Robinsons retired, they would winter in FL near Carol and Tom. In fact, they stayed at a second home that Carol and Tom had a few times. So the four of them had lots of time together. Gene was a wonderful husband and father and he will be missed by me and my wife, Irene. We were very sad to hear of his passing when Mary Ann called us. We plan to keep in close touch with Mary Ann because we have a lot in common. We were pleased to hear that Carol's two sons, Scott and Chad, were able to attend the service. Gene and Mary Ann were Scott's godparents and they did a lot to help Chad when he was a young boy.

Mrs Robinson, Dave, and Linda,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Please know I'll be holding you all close in thought. I will always remember how calming his voice was when he'd say "take your mark..."

My memories of Mr. Robinson are watching him referee high school basketball games, church and of course, as a long time friend of my family. I am so sad to learn of his passing. May happy memories and the love of family and friends comfort you. Love to the Robinson family. Go Green! Go White!

As my dad would say, "He was one of the good guys". Always a smile, and a kind and positive word from Gene. Here's to a life well lived and a wonderful human being.
