So, so sorry to learn of Wally's passing. Wally and I were classmates at BHHS in 1961. We later worked together at Univex where he, Cal, Denny, and I were the four Bennetts. I truely loved our time spent working together with my "CUZ" as Wally and I referred to each other. Wally's woodworking skills were second to none and always amazed me. He was a genuine guy who might have been one of the best Christians I have ever met. Sally and I send our sincerest sympanty and condolences to the family from Florida. May you rest in peace in God's eternal care my friend, Stan Bennett

Worked for and with Wally for many years at Gast Manufacturing. He hired me in 1988 and it changed my life forever. It was an honor to work for such an honest, fair and caring man, who also had a great sense of humor. My fondest memory is taking the family to his farm to cut a christmas tree and how he and Linda treated the kids. It was all about the kids. My prayers are with you Linda and family, Thank you for creating life long memories for my family.

Dear Linda and family, so sorry to hear about Wally. Praying, wishing, giving our sympathies to you and your family. I guess I first met Wally at Chapel Hill in 1953. We were in bible class where all children learned about the greatest event of mankind and Jesus. On May 9, 1954 I received my first bible from Calvin Sr. and yes I still have it and looked up the day I received it just a few minutes ago. My brothers and I were pals with Cal Jr through high school and also with Wally as he rode the school bus with me some of the time. I remember him as a quiet person and with a calm that set him apart from all other teens. I am sorry that I lost contact for so many years, but am so glad he found you, Linda, for you became a good friend for my aunt Stephania during her stay in Lakeland's assisted living. You were always there for the birthdays and we saw you several times when we visited. Your visits were so very appreciated for your caring and concern. I read about Wally with a heavy heart as his presence among us was a gift. I remember once that I told you that I look up to him as an inspiration when I had rotator cuff problems and lost some use of my right arm. This year I had to have surgery for a replacement shoulder and would think of him and his trials and his positive attitude. May Jesus look upon you and your family as the blessing you are to all you touch with your giving heart and caring. God bless this family, may he lift his light upon you and grant you his blessing.

I was blessed to work with Wally for years at Gast manufacturing and wrote the story of working with Wally in the Facilities Department and how through all the obstacles he went through with his health issues he still worked steadfastly with us ans never ever gave up. For that he was awarded the highest honor. I feel privileged to have known quite an incredible man Rest In Peace my friend and I know without a doubt you are in Heaven with the Lord’.

We are so heart broken about our dear friend and cousin Wally whom we loved so much. We were so glad we got to see
you both when we were in Michigan last month. He was the most wonderful fun and loving person you would want to know and he will be greatly missed by all. Such a wonderful child of God and now he is enjoying eternity and we will see him again one day.
We will cherish our memories of parties, camping and so many more. We love him so much.
Our prayers and hugs to you Linda and your family. Please know that you all have very special places in Tom and my hearts and our children's hearts. Our children loved him and his lovely smile so much. He was a wonderful person and we were so very lucky to have him in our lives.
