Aunt Lyd was my godmother and I adored her. I have so many wonderful memories. Not living In Michigan I didn’t get to spend as much time with her as I would have liked but those times were always special. She always had time to play kids card games or put puzzles together or find some other fun activity to do with us. And the giggles that went with it all. She had a laugh that you couldn’t forget.
I don’t know how many Toni Home Permaments she gave me trying to curl this kids straight black hair that did not want to cooperate - but she was so patient and never gave up trying.
She was a special lady and seems she had a way that made each one of us kids feel special too. I know I did. I’m going to miss her but I am thankful for all the wonderful memories I have spending time with her and my cousins.

Aunt Lyd was a kind and gentle soul! I remember getting one of the famous quilts she made for me for my wedding (50 years ago), I remember the smell of apple pie in her kitchen, and her sweet little laugh. Every time I look at a jigsaw puzzle I will remember her as well. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. Janice Ruppel Catania (She called me Janny)

So happy I had the privilege to see Lydia when in St. Joseph, visiting our dear Aunt at Pine Ridge last fall. She was so beautiful then. I told her how much I missed the good times on Nash Drive. She was a wonderful neighbor.
I am sure she will be missed. Our sympathy to her family.
Love to all,
Ben and Carole Hill
