Dorothy was a beautiful friend to my Mom Merna Llorens. When ever she would come and visit she always had a bag of goodies for her. Now they are both in heaven in the comfort of our Lord. Prayers to her family and may God comfort you at this time.

I will never forget the day I met Dorothy while working at Milwaukee County and to then find out she lived in the same town in Michigan as my Aunt Merna Llorens. She was truly such a jewel of a friend and will miss her beautiful smile and laugh. Rest in piece my friend๐

Dorothy was an ever-present presence in Berrien County since I moved there.ย A warm, wonderful woman of many skills, she could be found cooking up a storm at the Soup Kitchen, walking and talking her values as a member of the Berrien County Democratic Party, and as a working volunteer in the Fresh Start Children's Garden (FSCG).ย Dorothy gave and she gave her all.ย Perhaps her greatest gift was her friendship.ย No fair weather friend was she.ย On behalf of Emma Kinnard and the FSCG, our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends as we all make peace with her death.ย

Dorothy was aย great election inspector, and her presence will be truly misses at Precinct #1 in St. Joseph Charter Township.ย She was dedicated to insuring that things ran smooth on election day, and that everyone had their vote counted.ย Always willing to help where needed, and a cool, calm, collective soul if a problem should arise.ย I could always count on Dorothy to be there.ย ย The election staff at St. Joseph Charter Township will miss you dearly.ย Thank you for all the years of dedicated service you provided.ย ย

I don't recall a time during my life that I didn't know Dorothy. We were in Sunday School at Emmanuel Community Church together, attended S.H. High together, attended a national church conference for youth together, and later in life reacquainted when she returned to the South Haven area -- I recall meeting up with her during the first Obama Presidential Inauguration events in Washington, D.C. I believe that I knew Dorothy at least 65 years.ย She was a dear person with many interests and a passion for collective action through unionization and politics. I admired her drive and stamina and will miss her dearly.

My prayers are sincere for the Family, thanking you all for sharing your Mother. Dorothy came into the Library early every day that we would be opened, and shared many stories about her Children, and her favorite place to go Milwaukee. She always brought coupons, candy, pencils etc. anything she thought could bless someone else. We would call each other name sake, and share stories about South Haven and Covert when she found out I was from Covert๐ Dorothy, all of the staff at Benton Harbor Public Library will miss you dearly, while you Rest In Heaven! I thank God I had the pleasure of knowing you. Your Name Sake: Dorothy (Tolliver )Razor

I was on a mission trip in Benton Harbor when I had to pleasure to work at Dorthyโs house and help her with yard work. Her and I stayed in her house most of the time laughing and looking at all of her pictures while we left the others outside! I enjoyed getting to know her. After mission trip had ended I kept in touch with her as she had written her phone number down for me. I messaged with her often and she would text me something inspirational every Sunday. I have missed those messages the last couple weeks and was very saddened to found out she passed. She will always have a place in my heart.
