I am so sorry to hear of Anne's passing. She was a volunteer at the Covert Historical Museum. She was such a hard and devoted worker. I so enjoyed working with her. We used to have such fun working together. We have and shall really miss her. Her family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.

Anne, you will be missed. As a kid that got to be a part of Fishing with you and John, as well as coming back to the house to prepare the fish for dinner that night, I have never forgot those times. Particularly when both Uncle Eddie and Aunt Joanne were around and we got enjoy you and them (and Aunt Joanne's blueberry pie). You are a sweetheart and I will always remember our times together. ❤️

Anne will be missed at the Covert Library - where she was a frequent visitor and a member of the Book Club, where she always had a good insight or comment to add to the discussion. We will keep her family and friends in our thoughts.

Such an inspiring life of service and adventure, I remember how fun and easy it was to talk with Annie and how genuinely interested she was in others and in so much of life. Her and John were a treasure❤️

Anne was my high school (1974) expository writing teacher. She was such a great inspiration and a great teacher. She gave me the best skill I could have gained in school...writing, and she is my fondest memory of my high school days.

I had Anne Hackett for several English classes at Corunna High School back in the early '70's. She was to say the least, a very interesting character. She was excellent at teaching critical thinking skills in her literature classes and didn't put up with foolishness from anybody. I wasn't particularly fond of English but I must admit I loved her class. God rest you Mrs. Hackett I owe you a debt of gratitude.

Mrs. Hackett gave our class of 94 commencement address along with Mr Harvey. I will always remember her advice to us…travel as much as you can. And I did. She was a wonderful teacher and person.

Mrs. Hackett was one of my favorite teachers in Corunna High School. She gave me so much confidence and support in my writing skills. Many times I have struggled inside my own mind with self doubt about my writing ability. I would remember her voice, her words, her confidence in me. I have won writing competitions, been published in a magazine and have written several books for children. You will be greatly missed Mrs. Hackett, but you will never be forgotten. God bless you.

Mrs. Hackett was an amazing teacher and I found her love of the written word still with me today. It was a pleasure to have her as my teacher during those turbulent early 70’s. I often think of her and her impact on my career over the last 40 years. May you have peace and know how many young lives you have impacted in your time on this earth.

Mrs. Hackett was my expository writing teacher at Corunna in 1974; I absolutely ADORED her! She challenged me and I loved it, a free spirit (in my eyes) and she fascinated me. I'm sorry her light has gone out here but she is shining brightly in heaven! Thank you, Annie Hackett!!💜

I had Mrs. Hackett for English at Corunna High in the 80’s. My friends and I loved having her as a teacher and never knew what she was going to do or say. I remember her asking me loudly who I was going to prom with in the middle of a silent classroom while we were in the middle of taking a hard test. She went on to ask several others the same question. She was a hoot. She will be missed.

She was my teacher for Writing classes when I was a senior. She told me that she liked me because I was unique and to never lose that. I remember her going around the class when taking tests and she would look over at what we were writing and would sometimes tell us if we were right or wrong. She was one of my favorite teachers.

I first met Anne in 2001 at U of M hospital a couple of weeks after both of our husbands underwent heart Transplant surgery. From that point on we 4 spent many fun times together including a trip to Italy along with trips to the East Coast & to many National parks in the US Southwest. I will remember you always, Anne, and all the fun we shared over the years with you & John.

The life that she inserted into her teaching kept me engaged and helped me to learn. I’m very grateful for her years of dedicated teaching and encouraging growth of young minds.
