To Cheryl’s family —I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up with Cheryl in Cal City and have so many wonderful memories from those days with her at Our Lady of Knock and in the neighborhood. I remember her childhood home right in the middle of the block, “seven houses from the north end of the block, and seven houses from the south end of the block, “ as she always said, sleep-overs there, making cinnamon rolls in her kitchen, ice skating on the river, borrowing her dress to wear to prom, and just always being in awe of her fun-loving ways and her being so “cool!” A bright light has gone out here , but I’m sure it is shining in Heaven. Love and prayers to all the family.

To know Cheryl was to love her. Cheryl was the absolute best. An electric personality, the best grandma and soccer fan. We will all miss her on the sidelines. Sending love and prayers to her entire family and all who loved her.

Cheryl and I worked together as newspaper correspondents while we raised our children, sharing the trials and tribulations of raising three humans. We had an absolute blast and also shared the agony of reporting the news. Always the smile. Always the same infectious laugh. A truly wonderful person. Be kind to yourselves as you figure out how to navigate life without her. My heart is with you all.

Kristin, Aimee, and Michelle: I was so shocked to read about your mom. We live in Idaho now and don't always keep up with the news. Cheryl was such a dear person. I loved to work with her on Lakeshore school projects, such as choir. She was such a positive person and that made her so fun to be with. My sympathy is extended to you all as you pass through this difficult path. I do however, expect to renew my friendship with Cheryl on the other side. You were blessed to have such a wonderful mother.

We met Cheryl and Earl when Paul introduced us to them. You could feel the true warmth and care after meeting them and as Paul and Aimee dated and married that true feeling was always there. Cheryl had such a infectious laugh and smile! It was contagious 💕 She treated my son and us like family and we always felt welcomed in their home. We were the lucky ones to have known Cheryl and embrace her as family . Paul was the lucky one to have her as a mother in law and we’re sure the feeling was mutual💕 Love to Earl , her brothers and nieces. Paul, Aimee and the girls💕 Ron and Eileen

Cheryl joined me on a trip to Italy with Fr. Sears, many years ago. She always kept us laughing. One night at dinner she sang for us "Send Hand Rose" to the roar of the group. Her smile was infectious. I know she's singing with the angels. RIP.

Tom knew Cheryl from childhood, as they lived in the same neighborhood and went to school together, all the way through high school. I didn’t meet Cheryl till we attended a couple of high school reunions, and then were fortunate to meet up in Florida while on vacation. Cheryl was one of the friendliest, big-hearted ladies I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and I am grateful for the friendship we shared via social media as well. I know she is at peace now; and I wish that peace and comfort for Earl and all her family. God bless you all. Libby and Tom Pasztor

To Aimee, Earl, and Family: I will always remember the beautiful, loving, giving soul your Mother was. Her infectious laugh brought joy to all of us who were blessed to know her. While we seriously worked to raise money in the war against cancer, we always had fun at Babes doing the pub runs and being with all of the “Lucky Charms” girls. I know her strong faith has earned her a place in heaven where she is free of pain and will be watching over you all as your Guardian Angel. May your faith, memories and her love carry you through until you’re reunited again…Much love and prayers 🙏🏻💞🙏🏻. Renée
