Thou only Creator, Who with wisdom profound, mercifully orderest all things, and gives that which is expedient unto all men:Give rest, O Lord, to the soul of Thy departed servant:For he has set his hope on Thee, our Maker, the Author of our being, and our God. With the Saints give rest, o Christ, to the soul of Thy servant where there is neither sickness nor sorrow, nor sighing, but life everlasting.

Dear Daddy, you fought your good fight. Even though you were locked away and we were not able to see each other, I think of you and work for you and in your memory everyday. God was with you here on earth, and with you now. He knows all and protects.

The cross placed on Daddy’s shoulders was too heavy to carry. Peter 4:10 Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well. Luke 12:40 However, the one who did what deserves a beating, but didn’t know, will receive few lashes. From him who has been given much, much will be demanded- from someone to whom people entrust much, they ask still more. Victory is Coming!

While i didnt know Rev. Melnyk personally, i went to school with his daughter Susan. Susan was, and is today, an extremely kind, considerate person who treated and treats all those around her with compassion and kindness. i never knew her to be mean or tease anyone during those awkward teenage years. That is a major credit to Rev. Melnyk and Veronica who did a great job in raising her and carrying on the family. RIP sir
