Growing up in Covert with the 3 boys was a blessing. We all use to go over to the house on 30th Ave & play ball . Jerome was good on the Organ. He would play it. We thought he was good cause none of the other guys could play. Jerome had a killer 3 pointer. Seemed like he would hit that jumper from anywhere. We went thru most youth years in Covert. Graduated from Covert. Everytime we seen each other we laughed & reminisced about the good ole days. Just a said occasion that he is gone. Why oh why but you can't question God's doings. He's in a better place. Jerome just called me 3 weeks ago. Gonna miss ya buddie. Glad to share memories & time with you. U were a wonderful soul. My prayers are to the Mahone & Cunningham families & to all the friends & family of Jerome. May God Bless everyone Wayne Swans

Man where do I start rome you were my best friend he was my protector man we did everything together all I was in Southhaven when I moved to Southhaven I met you and we became best friends we never had a falling out none of that I love you so much I have so many memories of us at the horseshoe pit uncle Quincy house my house my mom cooking for you you telling her about the romie burgers you used to look out for my brother Fox all the time you was just all-around person I was never a sad moment being around you it was always nothing but joy your mom took me as a daughter my heart goes out to mom your brother jerry my brother jerry Man jerome my heart goes out to you guys Jerome rest up you don’t have to suffer no more I know you hate takeing those pills I’m gonna miss you I love you forever and always . Mrs. Mahone I am so deeply sorry for your loss, I myself is still in disbelief and still processing it all. Jerome and I had our ups and downs but we brought a handsome and amazing son into this world together. The many memories and love of Jerome will never be forgotten, I will miss Jerome dearly. Mrs. Mahone I am praying for your strength and just praying for you. I am thankful for the relationship you and I have built and I truly appreciate you so much, May God Bless You 🙏🏽❤️

I am in such disbelief. My big brother, my big cousin, and my god brother. We have so many memories I will cherish. I’m going to miss my life lesson phone calls and you just checking on me. I wish I could be with you Aunt Debra and Uncle Jerry. I love y’all. On the behalf of me and my family and I send our condolences to the Mahone’s and Cunningham’s family.

Jerry and Jerome and I hung tight at Indiana School together. We were the only brown kids there and were "cousins" because at the time my aunt was married to their great Uncle. Those boys had my back and I had theirs. My sincere love and condolences to his mother, father, brothers, sister, and children and family on this tremendous loss.
