My dad Alexander Brandenburg, John's Army buddy for life, always talked so highly of John and they remained in contact throughout life. My dad passed away 2012 and we received letters from John. I am blessed to say 2 great men are now in heaven. We were from Avella PA 45 minutes from Pittsburgh. I live in Sewickley Pa just west of Pittsburgh. I want you to know I am deeply sorry for the passing of John one great man. He will be forever in our hearts as I one sister Tammy that still resides in Avella. God Bless those 2 WWII heros.

My Mom worked with John at Whirlpool for a few years before she passed away. A few years later I worked with John. He was such a great man and I’ll never forget one time I tripped and fell onto his desk. I didn’t get hurt but he responded “Hello Dolly”. He cracked me up. Thoughts and prayers to his family. RIP John.

I will miss you, John. When I worked at the church I'd see John and Rose when they would come to count the collection on Monday mornings. They were very special people and so devoted to each other and to the church. Enjoy your blessings in heaven, John.
