Roger was always there for me when I needed him, it didn't matter what for. The boys and I enjoyed hanging out whether it be camping, swimming or just riding in the car, listening to music, and the boys climbing all over him. We will miss you bro but remember, until we meet again "This is how we roll" Brother and Nephews Eric, Carl and Jack

Roger was a very kind and gentle, he had faith in God and knew what Jesus had done for all who will accept him, he loved children as much as they loved him, family gatherings at his home were were his time to shine but he never missed one at someone else's home if he was physically able and his laughter will be missed by all who knew him, he loved to learn through higher education and observing others, he selflessly gave to others to the point he had to go without, life was not always easy for him but he never gave up, he enjoyed God's creation and loved nature and could sit for hours watching birds, squirrels, and the occasional deer in our back yard, he enjoyed being the captain of the pontoon boat and occasionally catching a fish but I think it was just a way to be involved, he could hit every clay pigeon that flew, I am grateful to have had him in my life for the last 30 years and look forward to hearing his laugh again in heaven

My favorite memories of Roger was when I would go to his house and I would be able to play board games with him and him an I would watch the movie he got for me when I was younger.

My brother Roger, was my biggest fan. He was always supportive of all of my dreams, successes, and even failures. He had the biggest heart. One of my youngest memories is of him saving stray cats when he got his first place of his own. He saved people on the streets. He always offered people a place to stay and something to eat, because he knew what it was like to go without, and he didn't want anyone to ever feel that way. He loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own. His family was everything to him, and to Roger EVERYONE was family. Roger was a passionate person. He would put his mind to something, and he wasn't afraid to work hard to accomplish it. Even if sometimes his decisions were unbelievable, he would follow his heart and see where that would lead him. And you have to admire that kind of courage in a person. He traveled, finished his degree, helped his fellow man. And then he went on to another place to watch over us. I am incredibly proud of this man who was my brother and my friend. So, I guess you can say, I was his biggest fan back. I love you and miss you every day, Rog.

One of my favorite memories of Unle Roger was when he would let me climb all over him when I was little. Another memory was when he started to teach me to drive the pontoon boat and fish using the fish finder

Roger was always there for me whether it was for shenanigans like making a human catapult, helping me with my children, or giving advice when needed. He had the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known. His smile, laugh, and caring nature will be forever missed. I love you bro.
