46 years ago we met and I will never forget you, haven't yet (broken hearted to know your gone but joyful you will be without pain in heaven) God made you special, not just to me but to MANY !! I hope to hear that song you wrote for me again someday with the background of heavenly beauty accompanied by angels with harps. Play loud in heaven Tom, want to hear your guitar scream and your smile shine bright - Suzanne

Tom, I have struggled with posting a tribute to you, because I knew that no matter what I wrote down, it could never do justice to what you meant to me. We came to know each other in 1981 in Schweinfurt, Germany while we both were stationed there. Although, coming from two vastly different backgrounds, you from Michigan and me from Texas, we quickly became friends and roommates sharing a lot of the same duties and schedules. It did not take long before we became inseparable. We shared stories, philosophies and opinions. After you separated from the Army, we kept in touch, but the distance took its toll. I remained in Germany for several more years. Then once I permanently returned to the States, a mutual acquaintance re-connected us and renewed our friendship, which remained strong until the day you left us. I must confess that much of who I am today, is because of you. I admired you so much, I copied your style, your taste in music became mine, your views became mine, now and then I will utter a sentence that I heard you say. I was proud to be your friend and considered you my best friend...like the brother near my age, I never had. A part of me left me the day you passed, and you have left a hole in our hearts that cannot and will not ever be filled. Godspeed Tom, you will forever be missed. Your Friend, Carlos

Tom always had great stories about his adventure. The last one I remember is his trip to Detroit Tiger this Summer to See Miggy last year. He really knew how to enjoy his life. He really will be missed by me.

I appreciated all the conversations we used to have at work talking about the rock and metal shows we were going to see. You always brought the humor and made work enjoyable. You will be missed, Tom.

Tom you were definitely one of a kind and you always had a special place in my heart and I was sad we lost contact after you went into the service but we reconnected on Facebook which I was so excited to talk to you again after all these years. I often thought about you over the years. I'm heartbroken I will not get to see you again and I will miss our talks . Til we meet again Tom I will hold you in my heart ❤️😘
