Walt and Eleanor were my parents' neighbors for many years. I remember Walt as a down-to-earth, honest man. He was always there when my folks needed a hand. I have very fond memories of him. My sympathies to his family.

My sympathies to Eleanor, Joyce, Marlene and Elaine. Walt was a very fine guy and was always nice to me. I’m not sure you know but my Father and Walt left for the Army together during World War 11. I know he will be missed.

Uncle Walt is celebrating with his Lord Jesus in heaven and is free of the aches and pains and mental anguish we face in this world. Likely he is also meeting up with his parents and brothers and sisters and all the in-laws who preceded him. How great is that! As a kid, I appreciated the times he treated me almost like an equal and took genuine interest in what I was up to and I remember the times he served as a surrogate dad for my brother and me at the church father-son banquets when our dad was working nights at Whirlpool and couldn't attend.
