I can say much about his spiritual life, but even more about his Christian values that he practiced. Dad inspired me to do be honest and work hard to experience the American Dream, and always showed me by example. He was an honest, hardworking, family-first provider. Dad, Mom, Sister, and I immigrated to the US with help from our relatives. Dad had no money and no job. He took every opportunity to find work and by the time I was 12, he had a full-time job and was building his first house (which we lived in for several years). He continued building houses using the overtime money from his job. Think about it, a full-time job, working overtime including weekends, and building houses in his spare time, while attending his church and Assistant chaplain duties. He helped finance and arrange visas for relatives and friends (some mentioned in his book) from Ukraine, Poland, and Germany to come visit us during the cold war era.

Paul was a dear brother in Christ. He was eager to serve in our children's Sunday School and was one of several who attended our teacher training class to help with many children who had recently come from Germany to the church. God used him in many ways in ministries in the church. No doubt he was greeted by the Lord with "Well, done good and faithful servant."

Deepest Sympathy to Maria, Peter, And the rest of Paul’s family. Prayers for comfort and peace during this difficult time. I have fond memories of Paul’s kindness . He shared birthday with Oskar many times. He and Shema brought a birthday cake several weeks before Oskar passed. They stayed for coffee and cake . I so appreciated them for that visit. They both were so thoughtful. With Christian Love Ella Stubelt
